Cookie Policy

NovAsia · updated 16 June 2026

The novasia.estate site uses cookies and similar technologies to work correctly and to help us understand how to improve the content. This page states plainly what is actually running and how to switch it off. We do not show a consent banner — which makes it all the more important that you know what happens and can control it yourself.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a site stores in your browser. They help remember your settings and collect anonymised visit statistics. Some of the technologies we use are not technically cookies (for example, browser local storage), but play a similar role — here we refer to them together.

We have no consent banner — what that means

We deliberately don't show a cookie banner: in our experience it annoys people and is almost never read. The direct consequence: the analytics described below loads automatically when the page opens, not after you consent. We think it's right to say that plainly rather than hide it behind a dialog everyone dismisses unread. We do give you the choice, though — just without a popup: there's a switch below, one click and Metrica stops loading. Plus external methods that work independently of us.

We run no advertising pixels. A Meta (Facebook) pixel used to sit on the homepage and was removed in July 2026: no campaigns were running through it, and it cost around 99KB. If advertising resumes we'll add it back — and describe it here the same day. The only third-party collection right now is Yandex Metrica.

Which categories we use

CategoryWhyHow to turn it off
NecessaryBasic site operation and remembering your settings in the browserNo — the site won't work without them
AnalyticsAnonymised statistics via Yandex Metrica: pages, sources, on-page behaviour, including session replayYes — the switch below, your browser, or Yandex's official opt-out
MarketingNot used — there are no advertising pixels on the site

Necessary

These make the site work and remember your settings in the browser. They can't be turned off without breaking the site. They are not used for tracking and are not shared with advertisers.

Analytics — Yandex Metrica

We use Yandex Metrica to understand which pages are useful to visitors, where traffic comes from and where people get stuck. Metrica collects anonymised data and uses session replay — a recording of anonymised on-page actions: cursor movement, clicks, scrolling and input into fields (excluding password and payment fields). Metrica loads automatically on every page.

Checking your setting…

The setting is stored only in your browser, on this device. We don't send it anywhere and don't tie it to you. Clearing the site's data resets it.

Other ways to turn it off

The switch above applies to this device and browser. These methods work more broadly and independently of us:

Turning off the analytics has no effect on your access to the content: the site works fully.

Changes

We may update this policy as the technologies we use change. The current version with the date of update is always on this page.
