Borey Hi-Tech

Borey Hi-Tech’s story is written across eastern Phnom Penh. Most of the brand’s known developments sit in Chbar Ampov—around Prek Pra, Nirouth, Ta Ngov and Preaek Thmei. Rather than chasing successive prime districts, the company stayed with one part of the city while that area changed around it, evolving from an outer National Road 1 corridor into a major residential zone with schools, retail, new bridges and increasingly heavy daily traffic.

The brand is associated with SL Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. Its main product is the Cambodian borey: linked houses, villas and shophouses aimed at households that want land, parking and several floors rather than the service model of a high-rise condominium.

The same district, but several generations of housing

Borey Hi-Tech Luxury is located in Nirouth, while Borey Hi-Tech Ta Ngov belongs to the neighbouring Prek Pra area. Earlier public profiles also refer to other phases and smaller apartment buildings. These schemes were created at different times, so the shared name should not suggest identical density, landscaping or construction standards.

Borey Hi-Tech The Premium is the clearest documented reference. Launched in 2019 and generally recorded as completed around 2021–2022, it includes linked houses, twin villas, shophouses and larger Queen and King villas. The range captures the company’s core market: families moving from compact urban housing into a landed home, as well as buyers seeking a larger villa without leaving the eastern side of Phnom Penh.

The shophouse element is particularly relevant. In Cambodia, these units often serve a genuine dual purpose rather than functioning as a purely speculative category. A family may operate a shop, office or service business at ground level and live above. The success of that arrangement depends on the actual street—passing traffic, parking, neighbouring businesses and how much of the phase has been occupied.

The useful evidence is already lived in

Several Borey Hi-Tech communities now have active resale and rental stock. That allows prospective buyers to see more than a new sales gallery. Roads, drainage, security, utilities, extensions made by owners and the level of commercial activity can all be observed in real conditions.

The limitation is the public record. Project counts vary, phase names are used inconsistently and the website once associated with the brand no longer provides a reliable corporate chronology. It is therefore more sensible to compare actual neighbourhoods than to assume one uniform Borey Hi-Tech standard across Chbar Ampov.

The developer is most relevant to buyers who already see eastern Phnom Penh as their preferred side of the city. Its long concentration there provides local experience and multiple completed communities. At the same time, Chbar Ampov is changing quickly, and the daily experience of two Hi-Tech homes can differ widely depending on access roads, maturity of the phase and proximity to the district’s main traffic corridors.
