GDCE begins the first phase of its online complaint system

Event date

Businesses now have two ways to file through the digital system

Andersen Cambodia’s 2026 law digest describes a GDCE notification dated 25 July announcing the first phase of the online complaint system. The service adds a digital route for businesses and members of the public who want to raise issues with the customs authority instead of relying only on physical complaint boxes.

The filing choice depends on whether the complainant wants to identify themselves. An identified submission can include contact details so GDCE can follow up with the person who filed it. An anonymous complaint can be submitted without that identifying information. For importers, company representatives and other users of customs procedures, the main practical change is simply that there is now another channel for putting a problem on record.

A digital filing route does not promise a response deadline

The available description does not state a guaranteed response time or a guaranteed outcome for an individual complaint. The new system should therefore be treated as an additional complaint channel, not as a fast-track resolution mechanism.

There is also a source limitation. The launch details are set out in a professional legal digest citing the GDCE notification, but the underlying notification itself was not independently retrieved for this article. We therefore do not add procedural deadlines, appeal steps or other conditions that are not contained in the material available to us.
