Orienda's July 29 announcement described neurosurgery for conditions that may require operations involving intracranial bleeding, brain tumours, cerebrovascular disease and other neurological problems. By August 10, the hospital was still publishing material about its surgical services and had also promoted general surgery. That later material supports the view that the new surgical operation continued beyond the opening announcement, but claims about outcomes, technology and quality remain statements from the hospital rather than independent clinical assessments.
