What the two new centers are designed to do

The Heart Center is intended to provide diagnosis and treatment for cardiovascular disease. Police General Hospital says the center brings together specialist staff, medical technology and services for patients who need cardiac and vascular care.

The second facility, the Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases, Tropical Diseases and Tuberculosis, has a broader public-health role. Its stated remit includes diagnosis and treatment, surveillance, prevention and control of infectious diseases, as well as preparation for emerging outbreaks.

Both facilities are part of Police General Hospital on Rama I Road in Pathum Wan, in central Bangkok. The hospital and other reports confirm that the centers opened on August 25, 2026.
