Cambodia lowers regular petrol prices while diesel stays unchanged
Let’s explore this page together
Petrol prices changed, but diesel drivers see no reduction
Ministry of Commerce notification No. 3752 sets retail prices at fuel stations across Cambodia for regular Gasoline 92 and Gasoil 10ppm diesel. The respective figures are 5,050 and 5,550 riel per litre. They are prices for specified fuel grades, not a single rate for every product sold at a filling station.
Under the schedule that began on 11 October, regular petrol cost 5,350 riel per litre and diesel cost 5,550. Filling a 40-litre tank with Gasoline 92 therefore costs 12,000 riel less than it did under the previous price, assuming the same quantity and grade. A comparable diesel fill costs the same as before.
There is a further distinction for motorists using higher-grade petrol. PTT Cambodia's price listing for 21 October shows its SUPER petrol at 6,100 riel per litre. The new 5,050-riel figure should not be used to budget for that product.
For practical context, see Cambodia law and taxes. This development also connects with Cambodia assigns local authorities regular price-label checks.
The notice runs to 1 November, not for an entire month
Drivers commuting regularly may notice the difference in their own refuelling expenses. The effect on taxi fares, courier fees or goods prices is less direct: transport operators have other costs and set their charges separately. A cheaper litre of regular petrol does not establish that these services will become cheaper.
For household or business budgets extending into November, the stated end date is important. The ministry's current notice does not set prices beyond 1 November 2026. Any forecast of future refuelling costs will need to take the next published price schedule into account.
