IndiGo to restore Kolkata-Siem Reap flights from October 1
The route links Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata with Siem Reap Angkor International Airport. It first launched in November 2025 and was then included in IndiGo's temporary international network reductions for the third quarter of 2026.
Three weekly flights are scheduled from October 1
Cambodianess reported on September 25 that IndiGo would return to the route with Airbus A320neo aircraft, operating three times a week. That timing is consistent with IndiGo's June announcement, which placed the Siem Reap suspension from July 3 through September 30.
As of September 27, the first post-suspension flight has not yet operated. October 1 should therefore be treated as the current scheduled restart date, not a completed restart, and passengers should recheck the airline's live flight status before travelling.

The nonstop option matters most for travellers based in Siem Reap
For residents and families travelling between Cambodia and India, the practical change is the return of a direct link to Kolkata without an intermediate airport. Three weekly departures are useful, but they do not offer the flexibility of a daily service, so trip dates may still need to be built around the operating days.
The flight itself does not alter immigration rules in either country. Visa eligibility, passport requirements and any other entry conditions remain separate questions and depend on the traveller's circumstances and nationality.
This is a return from a planned seasonal pause
IndiGo announced the temporary suspension on June 4 as part of a wider adjustment to several international routes, citing softer seasonal demand and a difficult operating-cost environment. Siem Reap service was due to remain paused only until the end of September.
The September update is therefore best understood as the restoration of an existing route, not the launch of a new Cambodia-India connection. IndiGo originally began nonstop Kolkata-Siem Reap flights on November 13, 2025.
