Ta Thi Phat outlines a two-stage construction machinery project in Kampong Speu
Let’s explore this page together
Ta Thi Phat Co., Ltd. presented the project during a June 25 meeting with Kampong Speu provincial authorities. The announcement adds a potential industrial investment to the province, but it does not mean that a factory is already under construction or that a production launch date has been approved.
The first phase is a sales and rental operation
The Khmer-language government report gives more detail than the shorter English announcement. It says the company expects the first phase to begin in early 2027 on a site of more than two hectares. The initial operation would display and sell machinery assembled in Vietnam, with rental and instalment options also mentioned.
Contractors and local businesses need to distinguish the plan from work already under way. If the plan moves ahead on schedule, the first visible change would be a new commercial and service presence rather than Cambodian manufacturing. The company has not published a detailed product list, financing terms, service capacity or a firm opening date for this stage.
Ta Thi Phat said the second phase would bring machinery assembly to Kampong Speu itself. That would be the point at which the project becomes a local manufacturing operation rather than primarily an import, sales and rental business.
As of September 22, 2026, the official material reviewed for this story does not show a separate announcement confirming construction has started, a specific investment approval for the plant, or a fixed commissioning date. The exact Cambodian project budget and the number of jobs also remain unconfirmed. Those gaps are important because provincial support for an investment proposal is not the same as a completed approval and build-out process.
For practical context, see Cambodia law and taxes. This development also connects with Cambodia pushes telecom standards into building practice.
Jobs depend on the manufacturing phase actually moving forward
Provincial officials said the project could create employment, but no hiring target has been released. For jobseekers, the useful milestones will be a confirmed site launch, construction timetable and recruitment notice rather than the initial investment announcement alone.
Businesses may have something to watch earlier. A functioning sales, rental and service operation could give Cambodian contractors another source of equipment, but the announcement does not establish lower prices, guaranteed availability or preferential commercial terms. Those points will only become clear if the first phase opens and publishes its actual offer.
