Eastland Ltd
Also known as: EastLand, East Land Development Co., Ltd., Eastland Development Ltd, Eastland HK, Eastland HK Development Co., Ltd., Eastland Property Hong Kong Ltd.
Historical market profile of a development brand associated with East One and the early launch of the East Commercial Centre / East View Residences complex in Phnom Penh. Its legal entity, current activity and corporate relationship with Yuetai require documentary verification.
Eastland was the name used during Yuetai Group’s entry into Cambodian property. In the middle of the 2010s, coverage referred to Eastland Development (HK) Ltd and Eastland Development Co., Ltd, while chief executive Sam Yang also represented Yuetai. The company is therefore more accurately read as one stage of a larger group’s expansion than as an independent local developer with a separate long-term identity.
That stage was concentrated in central Phnom Penh. Eastland began with a relatively compact residential property and then moved into a much larger mixed-use development on Norodom Boulevard.
East One established an urban focus
East One, at Streets 51 and 214 in Daun Penh, was completed around 2016–2017. It offered furnished apartments in a district already supported by offices, restaurants, government institutions and an established rental audience.
This was neither a resort scheme nor a distant borey. Eastland targeted buyers who wanted a city address and a ready form of central accommodation. Such properties usually depend more on layout, management and real tenant demand than on an extensive internal estate.
The company then moved into East Commercial Center and East View on Norodom Boulevard. The scale increased sharply: four residential towers and an office building were brought together in a complex of 1,362 units. Official project material records completion in January 2019.
After delivery, the Eastland name became less central
East View’s later history shows how the corporate structure changed the public narrative. More recent material identifies Yuetai Group as developer of Tower B, Clearth Life as seller, Universal Int’l Import & Export as operator and China State Construction Engineering Corporation as contractor. Eastland remains part of the launch history, but the completed property is presented through a wider network of companies.
In finished real estate, the old developer label now matters less than the building itself. East One, East Commercial Center and East View have been part of the rental and resale market for years. Occupancy, ownership costs, management quality and the continuing value of the central location can all be examined directly.
Eastland’s strength is a set of completed urban assets that can be visited and compared. Its limitation is brand continuity: there is no equally clear current pipeline under the same name, and later communications give more prominence to Yuetai and other participants. This is better understood as a completed chapter of Yuetai’s Phnom Penh expansion than as the profile of a developer still building a broad new portfolio.
