Vattanac Properties Ltd
Also known as: Vattanac Properties, Vattanac Capital developer
Company confirmed as associated with completed Vattanac Capital; not automatically the legal entity for all Vattanac Group assets.
Vattanac Properties is known primarily through one building that became a symbol of Phnom Penh’s new business era. Vattanac Capital on Monivong Boulevard combines Grade A offices, luxury retail and Rosewood Phnom Penh in a 187.3-metre tower.
The company does not build its reputation through a high volume of residential launches. Its strength lies in complex commercial and leisure assets designed for long operation and international partners.
Vattanac Capital was built for a new class of city
Work began in 2009 and the 39-storey complex was completed in 2014. Farrells shaped the tower as a rising dragon with references to the Naga and feng shui. For Phnom Penh, it was more than a tall building; it attempted to give international companies, luxury retail and a hotel one complete central address.
The property received LEED Gold certification in 2016. Rosewood Phnom Penh opened across the upper 14 floors in February 2018, adding 175 rooms, restaurants, wellness and a rooftop bar.
The deeper achievement lies neither in height nor certification. More than a decade after completion, the building still operates in its intended form. Offices, shops, restaurants and a recognised hotel remain active. For a commercial developer, that operating resilience matters more than the speed of initial sales.
The golf resort shows another type of long-term asset
Vattanac Golf Resort lies south-east of the centre and includes two 18-hole courses designed by Sir Nick Faldo, with management associated with Troon. It is presented as part of the wider Vattanacville vision, while the completed courses and functioning club provide the strongest evidence today.
A golf property requires a different operating discipline from an office tower: landscape care, club service, events and consistent course quality. In both cases, Vattanac invests in assets intended to retain value through operations rather than rapid sale of individual units.
The Vattanac name covers a wide group, so every associated property cannot automatically be attributed to Vattanac Properties. The two clearest directions—Capital and the Golf Resort—nevertheless show a consistent focus on destination assets.
For an ordinary apartment buyer, the profile is less direct because the company has no broad completed condominium series. For commercial investors, occupiers and those following future mixed-use projects, it is much more informative. Vattanac Properties has already shown that it can create properties that remain significant many years after opening.
