SUBCON Thailand 2026 closes with more than THB 23 billion in estimated parts trade

Event date

The 20th edition of the event brought together Thai suppliers, overseas buyers and industrial partners across several advanced manufacturing sectors. It was co-organised by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association and Informa Markets Thailand.

More than 9,600 matching pairs linked buyers and suppliers

The scale of the matching programme is the clearest operational result for companies looking at Thailand's industrial network. BOI said participants used the event to source and discuss partnerships in electric vehicles, semiconductors and advanced electronics, automation and robotics, medical devices and aerospace.

Some companies left with procurement agreements, follow-up negotiations or technology partnerships. BOI also said it intends to broaden future SUBCON activity into areas including AI, advanced electronics, modern vehicles and logistics, while expanding business matching across more industries.

For an entrepreneur or industrial specialist considering Thailand as a regional operating base, those connections offer evidence of active buyer-supplier networks. They do not establish how many jobs will be created, what salaries will do next or whether Bangkok residential demand will rise.

The THB 23 billion headline has a narrower meaning

BOI's Thai-language announcement says companies taking part in the business talks estimated that parts trade worth more than THB 23 billion could result. Its English release described the figure as an estimated USD 705.5 million, approximately THB 23 billion, in parts trade.

That distinction matters because the figure is not a tally of completed payments and it is not the value of BOI-approved investment. The official material does not state how much of the estimate had become executed contracts, so the number is best used as an indicator of commercial interest generated around the event rather than a realised investment total.
