Water relief reaches two neighbourhoods in northern Bali's Sinabun
In brief: Buleleng's disaster management agency delivered 10,000 litres of clean water to two parts of Sinabun village, according to a report published on 3 October 2026; the shipment was completed, but no restoration of regular water service was announced.
For households in Sinabun, the delivery offered immediate relief during the dry season. The village is in Sawan district, Buleleng regency, on Bali's northern side. The report concerns a specific local response, not an island-wide water shortage.
Two village areas received 5,000 litres each
Indonesia's public broadcaster RRI reported that the Buleleng Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) supplied 5,000 litres to Banjar Dinas Menase Babakan and another 5,000 litres to Banjar Dinas Jro. Agency head I Gede Suyasa said that the distribution had been completed.
The figure describes water delivered, not the capacity of the village's usual supply system. RRI's account does not establish how many households were served or how long the water would last. Its stated delivery date contains an inconsistency between the weekday and calendar date, so 3 October is used here as the confirmed publication date, not an independently established day of delivery.
September's relief work points to a recurring local concern
Sinabun had already received emergency water supplies earlier in the dry season. In an official notice dated 3 September, BPBD Buleleng documented a separate 10,000-litre delivery to the village. The agency also reported distributing 10,000 litres in Pedawa, Banjar district, on 13 October. That later operation was in another village and should not be mistaken for an update on Sinabun's water network.
For someone considering a long-term rental in the Sawan area, the relevant question is how an individual property gets through periods of limited supply. A house may have its own well, rely on another local source or need stored water when service is interrupted. Prospective tenants can clarify the backup arrangements, storage capacity and responsibility for delivery costs before committing to a lease. The relief operation alone cannot establish which nearby homes have experienced interruptions.
