Cambodia's tyre exports reach $1.72 billion in January–September 2026

Event date

Eight operating factories across three provinces

Kampucheathmey Daily's report of 14 October places Cambodia's eight operating tyre plants in special economic zones in Svay Rieng, Preah Sihanouk and Kratie. That concentration gives transport and equipment-service businesses a starting point for identifying potential customers.

A supplier would still need to establish which services a factory outsources and how its purchasing process works. An expanding export total does not disclose those arrangements. Nor does it establish how many vacancies are available or whether pay has increased; anyone considering a job or a move needs the terms offered by the employer concerned.

The 77.5% increase measures export value

Citing Cambodia's General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE), Kampucheathmey reported tyre exports worth US$1.72 billion between January and September 2026, an increase of 77.5% over the corresponding period of 2025. Khmer Times also reported the US$1.72 billion total for those nine months on 17 October.

The comparison is between two nine-month periods. It measures the dollar value of goods exported, without establishing the number of tyres manufactured or shipped. Changes in quantities, prices and the mix of products can all affect that value, and the cited reports do not provide a breakdown that separates their contributions.
