The Standard Residences, Phuket Bang Tao entered the market in 2024 with 188 residences across six seven-storey buildings. The project's latest published construction update, for June 2026, reported structural works at 95% and architectural works at 88.15%, with completion targeted for the end of 2026. In October 2025, CG Capital and IHG announced the 88-unit InterContinental Residences Bangkok Asoke for completion in 2029, positioned by IHG as the first standalone InterContinental branded residences project globally.

Segments and prices

Both confirmed CG Capital residential developments sit at the upper end of their respective markets. At the Phuket launch, CBRE quoted The Standard Residences, Phuket Bang Tao from THB 11.9 million for a 75 sq.m one-bedroom residence; when InterContinental Residences Bangkok Asoke was introduced in October 2025, CBRE quoted prices from THB 40.8 million for homes ranging from 139 to 547 sq.m. These are dated marketing reference points rather than guaranteed current inventory, so the live unit schedule and purchase price should be checked before reservation.

Geography

CG Capital's confirmed residential footprint is concentrated rather than broad: Bang Tao in Phuket and Asoke–Sukhumvit 16 in Bangkok. The strategy is therefore not a nationwide housing pipeline but a small number of branded-residence developments in internationally oriented locations. Public materials reviewed on 24 August 2026 did not support a materially broader CG Capital residential portfolio of comparable scale.

Reliability and public record

The Central Group connection and partnerships with The Standard and IHG provide buyers with more public information to cross-check, but they are not substitutes for project-level due diligence. The hospitality brand is not the developer: the official InterContinental Residences Bangkok Asoke site states that Sixteen Residences Limited is the current owner and developer, while IHG licenses the brand and supervises certain branded services. The same disclaimer says the InterContinental licence is not perpetual and may end, making the branding and service agreements relevant to the long-term value proposition.

What to verify

Project-company due diligence matters particularly here because both schemes use dedicated legal entities. The official brochure for The Standard Residences, Phuket Bang Tao identifies Boavista Lifestyle Residences Ltd. as the developer and, at the time of publication, stated fully paid registered capital of THB 1 million; a buyer should obtain current corporate records, land-title evidence, permits, condominium-registration status and the contractual payment schedule rather than rely on the older brochure. For InterContinental Residences Bangkok Asoke, the official website identifies Sixteen Residences Limited as owner and developer, so that entity's obligations are more important to the sale contract than IHG's brand presence. Foreign buyers should also confirm remaining foreign quota in the specific condominium and the required evidence for incoming funds; the statutory ceiling remains 49% of the total condominium unit area.
