Seller and signatory authority in Bali
A polished company name and confident manager do not answer the central question: who may bind that party by contract and receive money for this particular asset.
What should be checked before calling someone the seller?
Separate four roles: holder of the asset right, contract party, signatory and payment recipient. They may coincide or they may not. A difference does not make a deal bad, but it requires a documentary link. AHU provides an official route to PT information; the system also describes constitutional changes through a notary. Those sources help form a request, but they do not replace review of the particular authority chain.
The short answer
Do not simply ask for “company documents”. Ask for a chain on one date and one asset: company or person → current role → basis for signature → agreement → bank payee → connection to the asset. Each transition needs a documentary explanation. Until it is explained, it is neither an accusation nor proof of risk; it is an open question that should not be closed by a deposit.

- Notary and PPAT sit in different parts of the document system.

- Authority, asset entitlement or payment entitlement of a specific person.
Start with the legal name, not the brand
Project name, brand and messenger display name are navigation, not party identification. Request exact name, registration information, legal address and current deal role. For a PT, use AHU as one official route to a profile check. A name match is useful, but it does not answer whether that structure may sell this asset or delegate signature to a particular person.

Build one chain, not four certificates
Put on one page: asset and address; right holder; contract party; signatory; payee; and the basis that links each item. When a role differs, add an arrow and record: group relationship, appointment, power of attorney, management agreement or other explanatory material. An empty arrow is not a reason to assume “this is normally done”.

Bank details are checked separately
An account proposed for a deposit does not become correct because it arrived from a corporate email. The agreement should show who receives it, what it pays for, currency, what proves receipt and what happens if the condition is not met. If payee and contract party differ, a clear documentary bridge is needed before transfer.
An independent reviewer needs a file, not a story
When taking the question to a notary or lawyer, send source records rather than a manager's retelling. Ask in writing to separate what is confirmed by an original, absent from the file, outdated and required before signature. Notary and PPAT roles sit in different parts of the document system; that does not remove the need to define an independent review scope.

Decision steps
- Step 1
Record each party's legal name and role in this deal.
- Step 2
Obtain source corporate and contractual records, not a retelling.
- Step 3
Link right holder, party, signatory and payee in one diagram.
- Step 4
Check which record is effective on the specific signing date.
- Step 5
Put payment on hold when the chain has an unexplained link.
