Questions for a Bali property consultation
A useful consultation does not begin with “what should I buy?” It begins with the subject of the conversation. When there is a specific property, offer version, objective, address and list of unknowns, terms can be reviewed. Without that, it is better to build a brief than receive an attractive but general answer.
What should I prepare before the conversation?
Five things are enough: why you need the property, which option is being considered, where the material came from, what is already known and which question prevents the next step. There is no need to send everything or unrelated personal data. The link between each file and a specific question matters more than file volume.
Short answer
State the objective, name the property and address, attach a dated offer version and list the unknowns. Then separate questions into rights, address-level use, contract, money and handover. A consultation can help order the next checks; it does not turn general material into confirmation of a specific transaction.
Evidence scope
- Checked on
- 2026-10-15
- Geography
- Bali, Indonesia; conclusions require a link to a specific property, address and documents.
- Audience
- A buyer who wants to prepare a specific conversation rather than a general enquiry.
- Established
- There are official sources for the context of rights, planning and FX series.
- Not established
- Rights, address-level use, price, payment, availability or outcome of a particular transaction.
One specific question beats ten general ones
Instead of “is it safe to buy in Bali?”, ask: “which documents relate to this property and who should confirm their current status?” Instead of “what will it cost?”, ask: “which costs are already documented and which remain unknown?” Precision does not make an answer easier; it makes it reviewable.
Do not merge five different reviews
Rights and registration, address and use, contract, payment and handover are connected but not interchangeable. The national legal framework covers rights, apartment units and registration. Planning material helps form the address question. Neither source answers all five lines for you.

Always ask for version and date
A plan, price sheet, contract or service promise without version and date cannot be compared reliably with another item. In the brief, record who sent the file, when it was received and which property it concerns. This matters especially when a conversation should end in a next action, not another folder of disconnected attachments.
Frame the money question as a table
Do not ask someone to “calculate everything”. Bring price, currency, stages, known costs and assumptions as separate lines. Where FX conversion is used, record rate type, date and source: Bank Indonesia distinguishes reference and transaction series, while actual transfer terms need separate confirmation.

A good consultation outcome
The outcome should not be a general verdict but a short list: what is confirmed, what needs a document, who owns the next request and what would require a pause. This format is useful whether you continue with the property or return to comparing options.
Decision steps
- Write the objective
State the scenario, budget boundary, timing and non-negotiables.
- Fix the subject
Add the property, address, offer version and material dates.
- Separate the unknowns
Put rights, address, contract, money and handover on separate lines.
- Agree the next step
For each important line, name the evidence, owner and reason to pause.
What to check
0 / 5
- Evidence
- A short personal note.
- Why it matters
- Without it, advice will inevitably be general.
- Evidence
- Link, identifier, plan and date.
- Why it matters
- Otherwise the question is not tied to a subject.
- Evidence
- List of specific files and gaps.
- Why it matters
- A general presentation does not replace a document pack.
- Evidence
- Address or coordinates and intended use.
- Why it matters
- Area information does not answer for an address.
- Evidence
- Dated table without implicit assumptions.
- Why it matters
- This makes it possible to see what remains unconfirmed.
FAQ
Can I start without a chosen property?
Yes, when the goal is to choose an area, format or review order. A question about rights, use, price or contract becomes precise only once there is a specific property and material version.
Do I need to send a passport or personal details?
For an initial review, the objective, property and its documents usually matter more. Share personal data only when it is genuinely needed for an agreed next action and you understand who receives it and why.
How do I know an answer is still too general?
If an answer cannot be tied to a property, document, address, term version or source, it remains context rather than a transaction conclusion. Ask for the missing document or next reviewable step.
