Do not fill gaps with hope

Words such as “reserved”, “deposit” or “hold” do not by themselves answer what happens to the asset, price or money. Read the specific wording, version, time window and link to the next action. If the answer is absent, it is a question to record, not a place to assume.

The deadline is structure, not small print

Write down more than an end date. Keep the starting point, time zone where relevant, action due before the deadline and method for communicating a change. That prevents a deadline discussion becoming a dispute of memory.

Reservation does not replace transaction review
