Why this project is worth a look
Rail-first city living
The nearby BTS stop is a genuine reason to consider the address for a commuter. The road crossing and actual station entrance matter more than an unverified distance copied into a property advert.
A building you can inspect
The tower is operating, with real common areas, residents and maintenance practices to observe. A purchaser can judge the property as it functions today instead of relying on a promised completion specification.
Compact choices at resale
Studios, one-bedroom apartments and smaller two-bedroom homes provide distinct ways to use a limited footprint. Choosing between them should start with storage, privacy and work-from-home needs, not just a unit label.
Amenities with context
The sixth-floor pool, gym, steam facility and lounge add useful shared space. Their value depends on present operating hours, condition and how a large resident population uses them.
A tangible purchase process
Resale adverts identify individual apartments, floor levels and asking prices, making meaningful comparisons possible. Clear title, a debt-free position and foreign-quota eligibility still need independent confirmation before a deposit.
About the project
IDEO Wutthakat makes most sense when approached as an occupied resale condominium, not as a freshly launched development. There is one 31-storey residential tower containing 979 units, close to Wutthakat station on Bangkok's western side. The building exists and has been lived in for years. A buyer can therefore replace architectural promises with direct evidence: the state of the lifts, the quality of common-area maintenance, how busy the entrances feel and what the selected apartment looks like after years of use. The central buying decision is whether the transit access and purchase budget compensate for compact rooms and the everyday compromises of a large residential building.
The project has a traceable origin. Ananda Development records its launch in August 2013, while a contemporary property review described the tower as completed and ready for residents by late 2015. Project portals are not consistent about the handover year: several say December 2015 and others record 2016. Nothing suggests two different IDEO Wutthakat phases with the same inventory; these are conflicting dates for the same tower. For a purchase today, the practical chronology is found in an individual unit's registered title and the building's management records. The old project launch year cannot establish whether the unit being sold is free of debt, restrictions or defects.

Its address is commonly given as 55 Soi Wing Wua, off Ratchaphruek Road, in Bang Kho, Chom Thong, Bangkok. The name of the road matters because the property sits around a transport interchange rather than on a quiet, isolated residential lane. Early Thai reviews sometimes classify the location under Talat Phlu in Thon Buri instead. Current project profiles and the mapped address consistently point to Bang Kho and Chom Thong. Someone planning a visit should search for the building itself, not rely on a broad district label. The different administrative descriptions are worth recording, but they do not make the project a different building.
The BTS connection is the strongest everyday argument for living here. Wutthakat is close enough that detailed on-site reviews describe a short walk across the road system, using a crossing below the elevated infrastructure. Yet the published distances do not match: older reviewers report around 110 to 170 metres, FazWaz gives approximately 300 metres, and a DDproperty listing displays 1.47 kilometres. Those are source figures, not a fresh measurement. What matters is the walk from the actual entrance at the time you travel: the crossing, the steps, the pavement, weather exposure and the route you would take at night. A station can look adjacent on a map while the pedestrian approach feels less effortless than the marketing suggests.
People who expect to drive regularly have a different set of concerns. The property is reached from the Ratchaphruek road system, and older route guides describe using a side road and a U-turn under the bridge to approach the entrance. That configuration is relevant to a commuter even if a train station is nearby. The published original parking allowance is around 35% of the apartments, concentrated on the lower levels. That is a limited resource in a property of this size. Ask whether a parking entitlement transfers with the unit, whether access uses a first-come system and what happens during evening peaks. A listing that says 'parking' only confirms that spaces exist somewhere in the development.
The neighbourhood is practical rather than self-contained. Historical walks through the station area recorded food stalls, convenience stores and small local businesses; the larger shopping centres are destinations elsewhere in this part of the city. A person coming from a quieter low-rise community should also allow for the mixed urban surroundings. Residential towers share the wider area with smaller buildings, traffic infrastructure and local streets. A short rail commute may be compelling, but the feel of the walk home and the amount of daylight entering a specific apartment still deserve their own assessment. Neither is settled by a neighbourhood map.
Inside the building, density is not a small detail. There are four passenger lifts and one service lift, according to detailed architectural reviews from the period when the project opened. Typical upper residential floors were shown with about 38 apartments. The figures do not prove long waits or poor service: there is no verified present-day lift-performance record in the available sources. They do mean that it is sensible to visit during a morning departure period or after work, not only when the lobby is quiet. The position of the front door relative to lifts and shared corridors may affect how calm a home feels more than a modest change in floor level.
The building's original layout provides a useful starting point for a viewing. The ground level contains the arrival spaces, mail area, reading room, meeting facilities, some greenery and parking. The second through fifth levels are primarily used for cars. On the sixth level, residents have the pool, gym, steam room and social lounge; the floor also contains 26 apartments. Residential accommodation continues above. This arrangement makes the sixth floor particularly interesting: it is convenient for shared facilities, but a buyer there should experience the actual traffic, privacy and sound around the unit. Upper-floor residents, in turn, depend more heavily on lift access for those same amenities.
The apartment programme has always favoured efficient footprints. Original plans describe approximately 21-square-metre studios, 30-square-metre one-bedroom homes and 45-square-metre two-bedroom apartments. Current resale advertisements extend those into nearby size ranges, including some studios at 20–22 square metres, one-bedroom units around 30–31.5 square metres and two-bedroom units just over 45 square metres. There is a naming inconsistency worth noticing: a few sellers market roughly 21–22 square metres as a 'one-bedroom' property even though the original scheme describes that scale as studio accommodation. Buy the plan and the layout you can inspect, not the category selected in a listing form.
At the smaller end, these rooms work best when the owner has straightforward storage needs and does not require several separate activities to happen at once. A person working full-time at home may feel the limits of a studio quickly. A 30-square-metre one-bedroom provides an actual separation between sleeping and living, but it is still a compact home. The roughly 45-square-metre two-bedroom format may suit a small household needing a second room, although current listings show examples with only one bathroom. It is not a substitute for a much larger family apartment. Furniture scale, balcony use, light direction and air-conditioning layout will determine whether the advertised area feels usable in practice.
The financial picture is a spread of individual sellers rather than one developer price list. In the listings reviewed on 10 October 2026, the lower available asking-price reference was THB 1.6 million for a studio labelled as being in the foreign quota. Examples of approximately 30-square-metre one-bedroom apartments appeared around THB 2.3 million and above; two-bedroom advertisements occupy a higher price band. These are advertised amounts, not recorded closing prices. Duplicate ads, changed availability and differing furnishing packages complicate any simple comparison. A low price might be a good opportunity, but it can equally reflect renovation needs, an inconvenient view, a seller's timetable or limitations on who can register ownership.
Rental supply is visible as well. Platforms show apartments advertised from around THB 8,500 a month, with larger and more extensively furnished homes asking more. That observation is useful for testing whether a location has a functioning rental market; it is not proof of occupancy, realised rents or a net return. An investor would need the particular property's tenancy history, the likely time between occupants, agency and furnishing costs, building expenses and tax position before drawing a conclusion. A headline monthly rent is only one part of the calculation, and this dossier does not manufacture an annual yield from asking prices.
Ownership carries a running cost beyond the purchase price. Published project information gives an original common-area rate of THB 45 per square metre per month. Opening-period reviews also mention a THB 500-per-square-metre sinking-fund contribution at the initial transfer; that is historical context, not a promise that a resale buyer will pay the same charge or pay it again. Present charges, arrears, reserve balances and upcoming capital works must come from recent management records. Lifts, pumps, fire protection, waterproofing and the pool all need continuous attention in a mature high-rise, even when the reception looks tidy. A debt-free certificate and current fee statement are practical documents, not administrative trivia.
Foreign buyers should separate the right to use an apartment from the right to own it outright. Thai condominium law permits foreign freehold ownership only within a cap of 49% of the aggregate registered apartment area in the building. Certain IDEO Wutthakat resale ads are labelled 'foreign quota', but the label cannot replace a certificate from the condominium juristic person or the unit's title documents. Funding evidence and transfer documentation also matter. Other listings may be in the Thai quota. A leasehold arrangement, if proposed instead, must be assessed as a different legal interest, not as a cheaper version of an identical ownership right. The exact status of the particular apartment is the decisive fact.
The right fit is relatively specific: someone who prizes rail access, is comfortable with a busy tower and can live well in a compact footprint. It can also merit a look from a resale investor willing to examine real numbers rather than an advertised yield. It is less obvious for households seeking extensive private space, effortless parking or a quiet low-density setting. Before paying a deposit, combine a normal-day site visit with a check of title, foreign quota where relevant, arrears, fees and the seller's transfer terms. This is an established residential building with tangible strengths; the transaction still succeeds or fails on the individual unit and its documentation.
Ownership format
Foreign freehold ownership is possible within the 49% foreign quota measured by aggregate condominium unit floor area. Some resale ads identify foreign-quota units, but the individual title and quota certificate must confirm transfer eligibility. A leasehold interest, if offered, is not equivalent to freehold title.
Unit types & sizes
The entry-level format is designed around a small, multipurpose room. Historical plans centre on about 21 sqm, while resale stock includes nearby sizes such as 22 sqm. A buyer should pay attention to wardrobe depth, space beside the bed, kitchen access and the balcony door rather than treating every studio as interchangeable. This layout can work well for someone with an active life outside the apartment, but two full-time occupants or a permanent desk set-up may quickly stretch its limits.
The more familiar one-bedroom layout separates sleeping space from the main living area. Resale listings commonly show roughly 30–31.5 sqm, with different furnishing and renovation standards. That distinction is useful for a single resident or couple, especially if one person needs somewhere to sit while the other sleeps. It remains a compact unit, so check the actual furniture clearances. Very small homes advertised as one-bedroom apartments should not automatically be treated as equivalent to the original 30-sqm plans.
Two bedrooms fit into a footprint of roughly 45 sqm, creating a possible guest room, child’s room or separate study without buying a much larger apartment. Examples offered for sale show one bathroom, so the extra bedroom does not necessarily remove household bottlenecks. Pay attention to daylight in both rooms, the usable living-area width and the quality of previous alterations. This is a compact two-bedroom solution rather than a spacious family flat.
Sizes combine the original room programme with observed resale stock, not guaranteed inventory. Listings sometimes call a roughly 21–22-sqm home a one-bedroom even though similar original plans are studios; check the actual registered floor plan. Asking prices were observed on 10 October 2026 across different sellers, are not achieved sale prices and require fresh confirmation of availability, condition and foreign-quota status. Prices are the lowest the brokerage boards publish, not the developer’s price list — the price and availability of a specific unit are something we go through with you personally.

Location
- Wutthakat BTS is close to the building, although published walking distances vary; follow the actual pedestrian crossing and entrance route rather than a headline number.
- Vehicle access uses the Ratchaphruek road system and Soi Wing Wua, with a side-road approach and U-turn described in detailed route guides.
- Small eateries and convenience shops were documented near the station; major malls are neighbourhood trips, not facilities inside the condominium.
- High-rise developments sit alongside older low-rise streets, so road noise, outlook and natural light will vary materially between individual units.
- For navigation, use 55 Soi Wing Wua, Bang Kho, Chom Thong, Bangkok 10150; some historical reviews assign a different administrative district.

Best for: BTS commuters who value a workable connection to Bangkok more than having a prestigious central postcode. The building appeals most where rail use is part of the daily routine, not an occasional convenience.; Single residents and couples comfortable with efficient rather than expansive living space. An occupied tower with a gym and pool can be practical, especially when the selected room layout suits how the buyer actually works, rests and stores belongings.; Resale buyers who prefer examining an existing apartment, meeting the managing office and comparing real seller terms. Here the differences between individual units can be more important than the original brochure specification.; Landlords willing to analyse tenant turnover, maintenance, repairs and ownership expenses. The active rental market supplies examples to investigate, but it does not by itself establish a reliable yield or effortless occupancy.; may not suit: Households needing generous bedrooms, extensive storage or multiple bathrooms. The two-bedroom stock is compact and inspected listings show examples with only one bathroom.; Frequent drivers who assume a guaranteed personal parking bay. The original parking provision was only about 35% of the unit count and allocation terms must be established separately.; Buyers seeking a quiet low-density residence with lightly used shared facilities. Almost a thousand homes share this single tower, so the lived experience depends heavily on its management and the selected apartment..

Disputed and unknown information
This keeps the open points in one place. A missing or disputed fact is not treated as a conclusion.
- Completion dating differs: late 2015 in the ready-to-occupy review and FazWaz, but 2016 in DDproperty, Lazudi and PropertyHub. The building is completed; its precise registration date should be confirmed from the condominium records.
- Location labels conflict between current Bang Kho / Chom Thong maps and older Talat Phlu / Thon Buri reviews. The present mapped address is used because the other project identifiers consistently match.
- BTS distance figures do not agree: 110–170 m in historic on-site reviews, about 300 m on FazWaz and 1.47 km in some DDproperty listing metadata. The actual walk to the station entrance needs an in-person check.
