Why this project is worth a look

Operating resort

The pool, restaurant, shuttle and other hospitality services are already in operation rather than promised for a future handover. That removes uncertainty about the physical environment, but it does not replace a unit-level management review. A resort being licensed and operated for guests is not the same as every private owner automatically having the same short-stay rights.

Small scale

The current project profile is only 20 units in a five-storey building. That creates a very different feel from a 300- or 500-unit resort condominium: lower density, but also a thinner resale market. Exit liquidity will depend more on the exact unit, its condition and asking price than on a deep pool of comparable transactions inside the development.

Generous space

Even the resort's standard accommodation formats are around 45 sqm, while the real-estate listings include much larger apartments, pavilions and villas. That can be appealing for personal use. It also means ownership costs, refurbishment budgets and rental demand vary sharply by format, so an investor should model the actual unit rather than rely on a single project-wide yield headline.

Quiet Kamala setting

The property sits on the green inland side of Kamala rather than on the beach strip. The hillside setting is genuinely quieter, but most daily trips to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants are easier by car or shuttle. The resort shuttle helps visitors; an owner planning longer stays should still test the day-to-day transport pattern personally.

Documents over branding

Legacy and current project records conflict on scale, floors and developer identity. That is a reason for careful matching, not necessarily a reason to reject the asset. Once the title, condominium juristic person, foreign quota and any rental-management contract all point to the unit being purchased, the old naming noise becomes much less important.

About the project

The Woods Natural Park is an unusual Kamala proposition: a small residential project that also operates as a resort. Its official website takes hotel bookings under the name The Woods Natural Park Resort Phuket, while the major property portals market individual apartments and larger residential units at the same location for sale and rent. That makes this a project where the hotel presentation and the property title need to be separated. A buyer should first establish exactly what is being sold — a titled condominium unit, a larger pavilion or a villa — and then confirm who manages it and what rental rights actually follow from the documents rather than from the fact that the resort itself accommodates short-stay guests.

The current project profiles on FazWaz, Thaiger Property, Dot Property and LivePhuket are broadly consistent. They describe a 20-unit, five-storey scheme in Kamala, completed in December 2018, and attribute the development to Phuket Property Management. That profile also matches the operating resort at 59/47 Moo 5 in practical details: the official site lists the same resort name, accommodation categories, pool, restaurant, fitness room, children's facilities and shuttle service. The official resort website does not, however, identify the legal developer. Phuket Property Management is therefore retained as the best-supported market attribution, not treated as a fully verified corporate-development fact.

There is a material identity issue in the historical record. Older Phuket.net pages using the same The Woods Natural Park Resort name describe 32 units across four floors and identify Infinity Asia Development Co., Ltd. as developer. Those specifications do not match the current 20-unit, five-storey property. We found no reliable source that explains whether the older record was a former phase, an earlier configuration or a different nearby product. For this dossier, those legacy numbers are not merged into the live project. If a buyer is considering an older unit number or title that appears in the Phuket.net archive, that specific asset should be matched to the land and condominium documents before relying on either profile.

The setting is quiet rather than beachfront. The resort gives its address as 59/47 Moo 5, Kamala, Kathu, Phuket 83150. It sits inland on the green hillside behind Kamala, with the official website describing Kamala Beach as roughly five minutes away by car. Current hotel platforms put the beach at about 2.1–2.3 km, and the resort operates a shuttle. In practical terms, the trade-off is clear: the elevated green setting offers more separation from the busy beachfront, but this is not a property for someone who wants to step outside and walk to the sand, restaurants and shops every day without using a vehicle or shuttle.

Accommodation is larger than the compact units common in many newer Phuket condominium launches. The operating resort lists 45 sqm Deluxe and Grand Deluxe rooms, a 48 sqm Suite, 54 sqm Grand Suite and 60 sqm Grand Suite Sweet, generally with kitchens or kitchen areas and balconies. The real-estate profile on FazWaz uses a different classification: one-bedroom units at 40–54 sqm, two-bedroom units around 170 sqm and three-bedroom units around 370 sqm. Live resale and rental listings add further formats, including a 55 sqm studio, a 60 sqm one-bedroom unit and larger pavilions or villas. These should not be forced into one neat unit matrix because a hotel room category is not necessarily the same thing as the legal property type being transferred on resale.

As of 15 September 2026, the lowest repeatable sale benchmark across the current major project listings is THB 5.55 million for a furnished 55 sqm studio. That listing carries a monthly common-area fee of THB 2,750, which is consistent with the FazWaz project-level rate of THB 50 per sqm per month. This gives a useful starting point for recurring ownership costs, but the buyer should still request the latest juristic-person statement before pricing a deal. Dot Property also surfaces a separate listing around THB 4.32 million even though its own project summary starts at THB 5.55 million; because of that internal inconsistency, the lower figure is recorded as a discrepancy rather than used as the headline price.

For a foreign buyer, the decisive point is the title and quota status of the selected unit. Thailand's condominium framework allows foreign freehold only within the 49% foreign-ownership quota of the building, and the transfer process requires confirmation from the condominium juristic person. One current 55 sqm studio at The Woods Natural Park is explicitly marked as foreign-quota stock, which shows that foreign freehold can exist in the project. It does not prove that every unit offered for resale is eligible. Larger villas or pavilion-style assets introduce a different question because land ownership and any separate building rights must be checked independently.

The hospitality operation is not theoretical. The official website continues to take bookings and current Booking and hotel-platform pages show the resort as an operating property with an outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, children's facilities, parking and shuttle service. That can be attractive to an owner who wants a serviced resort environment rather than a purely residential block. It should not be read as automatic evidence that every privately owned unit may be rented nightly under the resort's operating permissions. Before assuming short-stay income, a buyer needs the condominium rules, the management agreement and a clear explanation of how the selected unit participates in any hospitality operation.

This project makes more sense as a niche Kamala purchase than as a standard new-build investment. Its strengths are the established resort environment, hillside greenery, relatively generous interior areas and a functioning rental ecosystem. Its weaker points are equally clear: it is not new, it is not walk-to-beach, the resale stock is thin and heterogeneous, and the historical project records are messy enough that a unit-level document check matters. Condition can also vary materially between apartments because each resale unit may have had a different renovation history and rental intensity since 2018.

Before paying a reservation deposit, the useful due-diligence pack is compact but specific: the title deed for the exact unit, a current foreign-quota letter where a condominium transfer is intended, the latest common-area statements and juristic-person rules, and any management or rental agreement supporting an income claim. For a villa or pavilion, land rights need to be added to that list. With those documents in hand, the buyer can distinguish the underlying real estate from the resort brand and decide whether the price reflects a straightforward condominium purchase or a more complex hospitality-linked asset.

Ownership format

Condominium freehold for a foreign buyer is possible only within the building's 49% foreign quota. One current 55 sqm studio is explicitly marketed as foreign-quota stock; the selected unit still needs a quota letter from the condominium juristic person and title-document verification before transfer.

Home types & sizes

1 bedroom
40–54 sqm
1 bathroom

The core apartment format in the current project profile. Live resale stock extends beyond this band, including roughly 55 sqm studios and 60 sqm one-bedroom units, so the area on the actual title should take precedence over the generic project matrix.

From THB 5.55M at the current reproducible project floor
2 bedrooms
About 170 sqm
2 bathrooms

A large format that feels closer to a pavilion or family resort residence than a conventional Phuket condo. Current rental stock also shows two-bedroom units at different sizes, so 170 sqm is best treated as a project-profile typology rather than a universal standard for every resale asset.

3 bedrooms
About 370 sqm
3 bathrooms

A rare large-format configuration shown in the project profile. Open-market comparables are scarce and it is not meaningfully comparable with the resort's standard room categories. Any purchase should be assessed from the specific title, land structure where relevant and the unit's actual common-area rights.

The operating resort separately uses hotel categories: 45 sqm Deluxe and Grand Deluxe, 48 sqm Suite, 54 sqm Grand Suite and 60 sqm Grand Suite Sweet. Those are accommodation categories rather than a verified legal schedule of every saleable property, so they are not merged into the residential unit matrix.

Location

  • Official address: 59/47 Moo 5, Kamala, Kathu, Phuket 83150.
  • Kamala Beach is roughly 2.1–2.3 km away on current hotel platforms; the official site describes it as about a five-minute drive.
  • The property is on the green hillside inland from Kamala rather than on the beachfront, so most daily trips are easier by car, taxi or shuttle.
  • A shuttle to Kamala Beach is part of the resort operation, which helps compensate for the inland setting in a holiday-use scenario.
  • Current hotel platforms place Phuket International Airport at about 27 km and roughly 40–43 minutes by road, with actual travel time dependent on traffic.

Best for: A good fit for a buyer who specifically wants Kamala but values a quiet green hillside more than walking to the beach. The location works best for someone comfortable using a car, taxi or shuttle.; Suitable for personal holidays or longer seasonal stays when more interior space than a typical new-build studio matters and the buyer prefers an operating resort environment rather than construction-stage promises.; Potentially relevant to a foreign freehold buyer because at least one live resale unit is explicitly marked as foreign-quota stock. The quota still needs to be re-confirmed for the exact unit at the time of transfer.; Best approached by buyers willing to underwrite the individual asset rather than the project name alone. The gap between a studio, one-bedroom apartment, pavilion and villa is large enough that title, condition and management terms matter more than a project average.; Can suit an owner who values an existing hospitality ecosystem and guest demand, provided the selected unit's participation in rental operations, fees and restrictions are documented rather than assumed from the resort brand.; may not suit: A weak fit for someone who wants genuine walk-to-beach living: the beach, supermarkets and main restaurant strip are not directly outside the development.; Not ideal for a buyer who wants a simple primary-market purchase with one price list, a clean unit schedule and a standard developer payment plan. The current market is mainly resale and highly heterogeneous.; Poor fit for an investor willing to accept a marketed yield without document review. An operating resort does not by itself prove nightly-rental rights or define how a privately owned unit participates in hospitality revenue.; Not suited to a buyer who wants to avoid unit-level due diligence. The legacy identity conflict makes title matching, quota confirmation and management-document review a normal part of buying here rather than optional paperwork..

What we confirm before booking

A short, specific to the project list. We request these from the developer and go through them with you before any payment.

  • the legal entity in the SPA and the payee’s bank details
  • the title format and what is registered against the unit
  • the contractual handover date in the SPA — the page shows the date from the project’s materials
  • the contractual area of the chosen unit, and which basis it is measured on

Disputed and unknown information

This keeps the open points in one place. A missing or disputed fact is not treated as a conclusion.

  • Current major property portals attribute the development to Phuket Property Management, but the official resort site does not name the legal developer. An older Phuket.net archive describes a same-name 32-unit, four-storey project by Infinity Asia Development Co., Ltd.; the relationship between the two records has not been documented.
  • The official site and most major travel platforms use 59/47 Moo 5, while some hotel directories show 99/9 Moo 5. The official address is used for this record; the title of the selected property should be checked against it during legal due diligence.
  • FazWaz and Dot Property's current project summary support a THB 5.55M sale floor, but one Dot Property listing surfaces around THB 4.32M. Because the platform contradicts its own summary, the lower figure is recorded as a discrepancy rather than used as the headline price.
